Comments about the film

MANUEL VIOLA

Considering Fontana’s adventure as an important matter, the “machimbrazos” and the holes by Aguirre maybe achieved what the author of the White Manifest intended to do as a maximum projection of his intentions. I’m sure that if Fontana could have had the possibility of finding a way like cinema, if he would have caught a glimpse of the idea of making his holes through a film, I’m quite sure, I assert, that Fontana would have left the painting aside.

JOSÉ GUERRERO

These holes seem to me as really interesting as these are related with the suggestions of a blank canvas. Some blotches that appear and go from one part to another and get together and subsequently part to match an unsettled state of mind…/… for instance: a drop of milk onto a blue paper surface and the resulting smudge is perfect. It happens the same way when Picasso draws a line on a canvas. It is perfect. An ungainly painter has to make so many lines for one of those to be the right one… / … the drop of milk has contents, it is a liquid matter, a fluid one. This fluency fills an empty space in a flat surface. The holes made by Aguirre are like milk drops that fill an empty space, in this particular case, the screen.

Drilling a film with even 50,000 holes, the hazard, according to random-functions processes. The most important matter are anti-entropy fluctuations that according to Schrodinger are to define life.

PABLO DEL BARCO

I have the feeling I am catching the light that comes off the hole in Fluctuaciones Entroscópicas, a practical effect of the nuclear division/collision.

JUAN MIGUEL GONZÁLEZ

The result is so brutally original…/ … the picture of the short film is of a strange beauty. Fifty thousand holes of diverse shapes and sizes which pass by in the screen pierced by the light of the projector. A real light-plastic orgy you hate or you adore it. No half-measures. There is no place for them as far as the Art is concerned.
